Dr. Bharat Kardak and his friends have made up their mind to transform Rural Maharashtra. The movement named "Kardakwadi...A Global Village Initiative" is aimed to unite the educated and cultured youth of Rural Maharashtra and work towards the betterment of the region. This is an example to re-establish the glory of lost villages in rural India. The exemplary work already underway will act as a catalyst for the growth and development of all the hundred and twenty villages of Newasa Taluka of Ahmednagar Districy. The group is inspired by the freedom-seeking struggle of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Mahatma Gandhi’s self- reliance and the pursuit of pure and eternal knowledge by Saint Dnyaneshwar. The role-model for the group initiatives is the concept PURA (Providing Urban Amenities to Rural Areas) by former Indian President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
This unique movement now taking shape in rural Maharashtra is sowing the seeds of change and transformation in Newasa Taluka. The region is well on its way to be counted as an educational and cultural capital of Maharashtra in the coming years.
